Had an appointment shceduled at the VA hospital on a Monday morning. The appointment had a status of "Pending". The challange was if the appointment activated I'd be late because of the hour plus drive into Seattle, during rush hour traffic. So on Sunday at about 14:30 I started swimming through the VA website looking for answers. Discovered the VA has a 24 hour nurse hotline for scheduling, triage etc. Thus giving the Vets a 24 hour starting point for all things medical, short of dialing 911. A new discovery about the 24 hour nurse line is the VA Pharmacy connection. Ran out of a medication so I called the hotline. They were able to prod the mule along and get the prescription updated and delivered quicker than trying to call the Pharmacy.
